Mother-to-be Bipasha Basu was treated to an intimate and traditional Bengali-style baby shower by her family on Thursday night. The Dhoom actress and her actor husband Karan Singh are expecting their first child.

Bipasha’s mother, Mamta Basu, and other female members of the family blessed her in the traditional style and served up a lavish spread of Bengali cuisine for her to dig in.

Bipasha looked resplendent in a rani pink Benarasi, necklace, bangles and bindi.

Bipasha shared images with her mother, wishing to have her as her role model. The mother-daughter sported a colour-coordinated wardrobe.

The baby shower would not have been complete without a few lovey-dovey poses with hubby Karan, who looked dapper in a white kurta-pajama. The couple got married in 2016.

Karan also took to social media and shared a photo carousel, borrowing a caption from his better half — “Amar mishti babies!”

The 43-year-old model-turned-actress, who made her Bollywood debut with Abbas-Mustan’s Ajnabee in 2001, had announced her pregnancy on August 16.
