Billie Eilish and Blackpink member Jennie recently reunited at a listening party in Seoul, South Korea, to talk about the former’s latest studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft, which came out on May 17.

Talking about her inspiration, Eilish said she and her brother Finneas love to experiment with new gadgets and musical instruments. “I'm just shouting. I'm just yelling, just yelling it in your face, you know, I just wanted to scream all the titles. I don't know, it just worked,” she said, when asked about the reason behind capitalisation of the titles.

Eilish also spoke about her song True Blue, an unreleased track which was only performed live previously during some of her concert tours. “In 2022, I think it got leaked on TikTok or something and people started talking about it. I was annoyed at first, and then I was like, ‘Hmm, I guess I kinda think this is kinda good,’” she said, adding that she and her brother later transformed the song with rewritten verses.

Sharing pictures with the Wildflower singer on Instagram on Friday, Jennie wrote, “I love you @billieeilish. It was such a fun moment interviewing you for the @spotify event in Seoul. Thank you for inviting me💙your album is pure love and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”

In one of the pictures, Eilish sported a teal striped shirt and a black sweater vest, while Jennie rocked street style in a black pin-embellished cotton jacket with a slouch chain. In another picture, the singers struck a goofy pose for the camera. Jennie also shared a candid picture of her discussing the album with Eilish.

Jennie and Eilish had met at Coachella in 2019 for the first time. Their reunion five years later has led fans to draw a parallel between their Coachella moment and the recent event in Seoul. A K-pop fan on X even speculated that Jennie and Billie recreated a picture of them hugging each other at Coachella.

Along with her fellow Blackpink band member Lisa, Jennie is also reportedly gearing up for a major comeback with a solo album under her own label OA this summer. After her 2018 debut solo album SOLO, Jennie followed up with a special solo single titled You & Me last year.
