YouTuber and singer Payal Malik got evicted from Bigg Boss OTT 3 on Sunday’s episode after failing to garner enough audience votes, marking the second eviction in the first week of the Anil Kapoor-hosted reality show.

Earlier in the week, boxer Neeraj Goyat was eliminated from the show.

Payal, who entered the competition with her husband Armaan Malik and his second wife Kritika Malik, was nominated alongside Armaan, journalist Deepak Chaurasia, actors Sai Ketan Rao and Ranvir Shorey, YouTubers Lovekesh Kataria and Shivani Kumari. Sai, who was earlier appointed the Janta Ka Agent in the house, could save any two contestants of his choice and decided to save Armaan and Deepak.

After that, host Anil Kapoor asked all the contestants to take turns to go to the confession room and choose one contestant who they would like to place a curse on. During Sai’s turn, however, Bigg Boss offered him the choice to give up his powers as Janta Ka Agent in order to save his friend Sana Sultan, who had received the least amount of votes, from eviction. Sai promptly agreed. Bigg Boss appointed Lovekesh as the new Janta Ka Agent. Finally, Anil announced Payal’s name as the housemate leaving the show.

Payal's journey on the show began with controversy. At the grand premiere, she recounted how her husband Armaan had cheated on her with her best friend Kritika, who is now his second wife. During the week, Payal experienced an emotional breakdown as she recalled the day Armaan informed her about his marriage to Kritika.
