YouTuber Elvish Yadav and actress Jiya Shankar emerged as the top two contenders for the position of the first finalist of Bigg Boss OTT 2 after two ‘Ticket to Finale’ tasks on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show. However, the tasks ended in a tie as the housemates could not choose between Elvish and Jiya.

On Wednesday’s episode, Bigg Boss asked all the contestants to gather in the living area where he declared that three contestants can go directly to the final week. The first ‘Ticket to Finale’ task was related to creating viral content for social media.

The contestants were divided into three groups. Group A consisted of Avinash Sachdev, Aashika Bhatia and Jad Hadid and Group B comprised Abhishek Malhan, Manisha Rani and Pooja Bhatt. Jiya, Elvish and Bebika Dhurve formed Group C.

In every round of the task, a buzzer would go off and one of the groups had to create a video where they would talk about other housemates or anything related to the Bigg Boss house. The group that makes the most viral video, based on live views on JioCinema, would move one step ahead towards securing their position in the final week. Team C — Jiya, Elvish and Bebika — emerged as the winner of the task.

In the second challenge, Jiya, Elvish and Bebika had to compete against each other to win the first ticket to finale week. The task required them to run toy shops selling toys and trade their toys for pearls. Additionally, their supporters were allowed to steal pearls and toys from their rivals and store them in their favourite contestant's shop.

Abhishek, Manisha and Aashika supported Elvish in this task, while Pooja backed Bebika. Jad supported Jiya, while Avinash supervised the task as the sanchalak. At the end of the task, Elvish and Jiya had an equal number of pearls, so Bigg Boss let other contestants decide the winner of the task.

However, despite deliberations, they failed to reach a consensus, and as a result, neither Elvish nor Jiya obtained the ticket to the finale.
