Reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, streaming 24X7 on the JioCinema app, witnessed a lot of drama on Monday as contestants participated in the second nomination task of the season. TV actress Jiya Shankar and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s estranged wife Aaliya were nominated by the housemates for eviction this week on the Salman Khan-hosted show, following which the Ved actress suffered a panic attack.

Jiya suffers panic attack during nomination task

Bigg Boss asked all the housemates to gather in the activity around a circular table for a task called the Circle of Truth. The table had arrows positioned in a clockwise direction. Each arrow had buttons at the end. Bigg Boss announced that whenever he mentions the name of a contestant, other housemates could press that button to nominate them for eviction. Contestants with three or more votes would be nominated at the end of the task.

According to the rules, actress Falaq Naaz, the current captain, could not be nominated, and Akanksha Puri was not allowed to nominate anyone. Jiya, who had already been nominated in the first week, found herself nominated once again.

Jiya had a panic attack after TV actor Avinash Sachdev, with whom she shared a good bond inside the house, nominated her. Jiya broke down and repeatedly expressed her distress, saying "I can't breathe," while requesting Bigg Boss to let her leave the activity area where the task was taking place.

First team challenge of the season

The rivalry among the housemates became even more intense on Monday evening when Bigg Boss announced this season’s first-ever team-versus-team task. With Falaq's captaincy coming to an end, winners of this challenge were set to receive several privileges inside the house, including premium ration and a break from household chores.

The contestants were divided into Team Black — Pooja Bhatt, Cyrus Broacha, Manisha Rani, Bebika Dhurve, Avinash and Falaq — and Team White comprising Jiya, Akanksha, Aaliya, Abhishek Malhan and Jad Hadid. They were asked to create sock puppets. The team with the most number of puppets at the end of the task would win. Aaliya and Pooja were given the responsibility of inspecting the toys of their rival teams.

Tempers ran high during the task as Abhishek and Avinash engaged in a heated war of words. The drama unfolded at the puppet counter when Aaliya started inspecting Team Black's creations. Avinash accused Jad of interfering in Aaliya’s inspection. Abhishek defended Jad's presence by citing Manisha's continued presence during Team White’s inspection. Both Avinash and Abhishek raised their voices, with the former firing a volley of abuses towards Abhishek. The YouTuber warned the actor not to raise his voice while talking to him.

Team White emerged as the winners of the toy task after Pooja approved five of their toys. Aaliya rejected all the toys from the opposing team, securing Team White's victory in the task.
