Actresses Falaq Naaz and Akanksha Puri are in the running for becoming the first captain of the house on Bigg Boss OTT 2, a Salman Khan-hosted reality show streaming on JioCinema.

In the captaincy task on Tuesday, Falaq and Akanksha had to perform a skit along with their respective partners Cyrus Broacha and Abhishek Malhan. Votes from the viewers will now decide who becomes the first captain of the house.

The show, which premiered last Saturday, has so far seen digital content creator Puneet Kumar’s eviction that left his fans in shock. The high-voltage nomination task, in which Aaliya Siddiqui turned against her ‘friend’ Bebika Dhurve, further spiced up the equations inside the Bigg Boss house. And now, the captaincy task divided the housemates into two camps.

According to the live feed of Bigg Boss OTT 2, Bigg Boss chose Cyrus and Abhishek as the two ‘captain-makers’ because of their content-creating skills. Although they would not be in the running for the captaincy, the duo were asked to choose one housemate each, who they think would make a good captain. Along with their respective partners, Cyrus and Abhishek must then produce a 15-minute skit about the other contestants.

After detailed deliberations with all the housemates, Abhishek aka Fukra Insaan chose Akanksha, while Cyrus zeroed-in on Falaq. Abhishek and Akanksha put up a three-act play in which they enacted Cyrus and Pooja Bhatt’s bathroom discussions, Manisha Rani’s crush on Jad Hadid and Puneet’s awkward stage-moments with Salman. Cyrus and Falaq roasted fellow contestants in their performance.

After the task, Bigg Boss announced that the audience will now vote on the JioCinema app and the pair with the higher votes would win. Cyrus and Abhishek have the chance to get a special advantage — 2 kg of any ration item of their choice — if their partner wins the task.
