The popular reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, streaming 24x7 on JioCinema, has been extended for two weeks, host Salman Khan announced during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Saturday. The reality show, he said, had a watch time of 400 crore minutes in the past two weeks. Here are some of the highlights from the eventful weekend episodes that had us hooked.
Cyrus wants to leave the show
The news of the show’s extension did not invite cheers from all the contestants though. TV presenter Cyrus Broacha expressed his desire to leave the Bigg Boss house as he was struggling with sleep and appetite issues. He explained to Salman that he could only sleep for three hours at night and felt physically exhausted. Cyrus pleaded to be allowed to leave the house, as he believed he could no longer contribute and had become emotionally drained.
“I am just physically finished, sir. My body has lost weight. While you are talking I am not even listening after a time. My diabetes had started going back in the wrong direction. I am begging them to just let me out. I am not even contributing anymore, I have just become a dead soul over here now,” Cyrus said.
Salman and Pooja Bhatt tried to convince Cyrus to drop his plans of a voluntary exit.
Abhishek debarred from captaincy
On Sunday’s episode of Weekend Ka Vaar, former house captains Abhishek, Jad Hadid, Falaq Naaz and Jiya Shankar assembled in the BB Verse zone of the house to analyse each other’s performance as captains and pitched for a second chance at captaincy.
Abhishek expressed doubts about Jad's leadership qualities and held a similar opinion about Falaq. The latter defended herself by stating that the first week of captaincy is challenging and she hadn't faced any pressure situations.
Tensions escalated as Jad accused Abhishek of having an attitude problem. Eventually, the house members, except for Abhishek, agreed that Jiya should be given another chance. Later, Salman announced that Abhishek would be barred from becoming the captain of the Bigg Boss house for the remaining season. This decision disappointed Abhishek, leading him to lash out at fellow contestant Pooja.
