The nomination process took an interesting turn on the Salman Khan-hosted reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2 on Monday, with contestants being challenged to give up their most cherished possessions in a bid to save themselves in a task, called the BB Junkyard.

Actress Jiya Shankar enjoyed immunity from nominations as she is the house captain, while YouTuber Abhishek Malhan was saved by viewers via a poll on the JioCinema app.

During the task, a truck horn sounded off five times. Each time the horn blared, the housemates had to select a valuable personal item and present it to Jiya and Abhishek for sacrifice. The duo had the power to accept or reject the offerings. The accepted items were completely destroyed. After accepting an item, Jiya and Abhishek would announce the name of another contestant for nomination.

In the first round, Falaq Naaz sacrificed her perfume, which was accepted, resulting in Bebika Dhurve's nomination. In the second round, Falaq sacrificed a family photo, leading to Manisha Rani's nomination. Pooja Bhatt sacrificed her bangles in the third round, resulting in Falaq's nomination.

In the fourth round, Avinash Sachdev sacrificed his bracelet, leading to Pooja's nomination. The final round took a surprising twist as Abhishek and Jiya chose Falaq's ring given by her mother, ultimately nominating Avinash.

At the end of the task, the nominated contestants for the week were Bebika, Manisha, Falaq, Pooja, and Avinash. Jad Hadid joined Abhishek and Jiya as the only other housemate safe from eviction.

Meanwhile, Cyrus Broacha had to leave the Bigg Boss OTT 2 house before the nomination process to attend to a family emergency. During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Saturday, the TV presenter requested Salman and the show's producers to let him take a voluntary exit. He said that he felt dejected inside the house, losing his appetite, weight, and sleep.
