Bigg Boss nominated YouTuber Abhishek Malhan and actresses Jiya Shankar and Akanksha Puri for eviction on Wednesday for openly discussing nominations on reality show Bigg Boss OTT 2, streaming 24x7 on JioCinema.
Discussing nominations is strictly against the rules of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show.
Soon after Bigg Boss’s announcement, other housemates trained their guns on Abhishek, Jiya and Akanksha. Although Jiya apologised to all the housemates for her mistake, the verbal onslaught continued.
Pooja Bhatt took the lead in giving Jiya and Abhishek a verbal lashing for their actions. "You are well educated people and have signed contracts, but still end up making this mistake. I would have buried myself in embarrassment had someone told me such things,” she said.
“If you want to become successful in this industry, then first become a good person. This industry doesn't just see talent and looks. And looks fade away. I would definitely want to meet you guys when you are 50. Then it is your character that makes you stand out," Pooja added.
"I have tried my best with this boy (Abhishek). I want to tell you young people who want to become number one and conquer the industry — develop character. Today’s generation starts seeing themselves on cloud nine as soon as they achieve 30 or 20 million followers. I hope I'm alive when I see you guys when you are 50," the actress-turned-filmmaker further said.
