Film producer Ekta Kapoor stepped in as host for the Shukrawar Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 18 on Friday as Salman Khan is currently busy filming for his upcoming project Sikandar in Hyderabad. Known for her bold and unapologetic demeanour, Ekta had candid confrontations with the housemates.

One of the most heated interactions of the night was Ekta Kapoor’s conversation with actor Vivian Dsena. The producer, who had launched Vivian’s career, didn’t hold back in calling him out for his behaviour in the house. “Agar aapne 10 saal kaam kiya, toh kya? Ghar ke saare log aapko pedestal pe chadha de,” she questioned the television actor.

When Vivian attempted to defend himself, Ekta cut him short. “Yeh kaam ka ghamand aap kisko dikha rahe hai,” she retorted, leaving the actor momentarily speechless.

Ekta calls out Sara Arfeen Khan for her ‘toxic behaviour’

Ekta Kapoor didn't spare Sara Arfeen Khan either, delivering a blistering critique of her recent remarks against fellow contestants. In her signature dramatic style, Ekta likened Sara to a character straight out of her own hit series Naagin. “Maine socha tha agar main Naagin 7 banaungi toh Naagin ke saamne aap khadi hongi, Naagin aapko dasegi aur marr jaayegi kyunki aapke andar itna zehar hai,” she remarked.

Sara accepted the criticism with a smile but defended her actions, stating that her attitude was a response to the negativity she faced from other housemates. However, Ekta was quick to repeat Sara’s past derogatory remarks against Eisha, Alice, and Avinash, accusing her of intentionally stirring conflict.

Ekta’s no-nonsense approach with Rajat and Chaahat

Ekta didn’t stop there. She confronted Rajat over his arrogance. “You are standing up in front of someone younger than you with your chest puffed up. You are not a cannon,” Ekta blasted him. Castigating him for involving family members of other contestants in arguments, Ekta went on to say that if Rajat had involved her father’s name in their argument, she would have personally entered the house to set him straight. Rajat was left stunned and speechless.

Chaahat Pandey, too, faced Ekta’s wrath when the producer accused her of playing the ‘woman card’ to gain sympathy. "There is a difference between respect and special treatment," Ekta asserted. "Special treatment is not equality. Equality means that you and I are equal."

Ekta questioned Chaahat’s actions, particularly an incident where she threw water on Avinash while he was in jail, emphasising that expecting leniency based on gender contradicts the principle of equality.
