Actress Soniya Bansal became the first contestant to be evicted from the ongoing 17th season of Bigg Boss during the latest episode of the Salman Khan-hosted reality show, airing seven days a week on Colors TV and streaming 24x7 on JioCinema.
The fate of the contestants rested in the hands of their fellow housemates. Soniya, who started her career in modeling before venturing into acting, faced off against fellow contestant Sana Raees Khan in a head-to-head battle for survival. The two contestants received the lowest audience votes this week.
During the nail-biting eviction episode, Bigg Boss presented the housemates with a unique twist, allowing them to decide the fate of the duo. Majority of the housemates chose to evict Soniya over Sana, citing her limited participation in the house as a decisive factor in their choice.
The remaining contestants on Bigg Boss 17 are Jigna Vora, Sana Raees Khan, Anurag Dobhal, Munawar Faruqui, Ankita Lokhande, Vicky Jain, Navid Sole, Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma, Abhishek Kumar, Isha Malviya, Rinku Dhawan, Arun Mashettey, Sunny Arya, Firoza Khan, Mannara Chopra, alongside wild card contestants Manasvi Mamgai and Samarth Jurel.
Host Salman also had a surprise in store for the viewers. He introduced his brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and announced that they will now host an episode of Bigg Boss 17 every Sunday.
