Known for being one of the world’s shortest singers, Abdu appeared smiling ear-to-ear in a 48-second-long video where he addressed his fans. The announcement video was accompanied with the caption, “I never imagined in my life that I will be so lucky to find a love who respects me and is not burdened by the obstacles in my life 7th of July save the date !! 💍 I cannot express to you in words how happy I am 💓”

In the video, the 20-years-old said that he always dreamt of falling in love with someone who loved and respected him. He added that he had found his dream girl. Buzzing with excitement, Abdu ended the video with a reveal of the heart-shaped ring intended for his fiancée.

He followed the announcement with a longer video on his YouTube channel about his upcoming wedding. In the two-minute-27-second-long video, Abdu spoke about the challenges he faced due to dwarfism. He poured his heart out about being bullied for his height and being told that he would never find love due to his disability.

On a positive note, he added that despite the negativity he was able to find ways to support his family and now has found love. The excited influencer confirmed in the video that he would be getting married on July 7.

Before posting the announcement video, Abdu shared a short video in his Instagram stories. In the video the Tajikistani influencer could be seen dancing in a black suit and bowtie, the same suit he wears in the announcement videos.

Abdu’s rags-to-riches journey began when Tajikistani rapper and influencer, Behruzi Sharifi aka Baron, started mentoring him on his singing career in 2019. After moving to Dubai, Abdu started amassing an online following as a singer.

In 2021, he started becoming popular in India after a video of him singing Arijit Singh’s Enna Sona went viral.

His popularity grew as he appeared in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ki Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023) and joined the 16th season of Bigg Boss (2022-23). He also appeared as a guest entrant in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13 and Bigg Boss OTT 2 in 2023.
