Bhuvan Arora confirms Farzi Season 2 is in pre-production: ‘It’s happening, definitely happening’

The Prime Video series created by Raj & DK marked the OTT debut for Shahid Kapoor and also starred Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon

Bhuvan Arora, who played Firoz in Prime Video series Farzi, has confirmed that the second season of the crime thriller show is now officially in pre-production.

In a recent interview with Digital Commentary on YouTube, Bhuvan revealed details about the much-anticipated second season of Farzi. “It’s happening, definitely happening. The writers’ room is on. We haven't officially announced it yet, but I think we are doing it,” he said.

Created by Raj & DK, Farzi boasts a star-studded ensemble including Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi, Kay Kay Menon, Raashii Khanna and Arora.

During the interview, Bhuvan also reflected on his experience working with the cast, praising his co-stars for their remarkable performances and describing himself as an “orchid surrounded by roses” on the show.He commended Vijay as a “fantastic actor”, Shahid as a “lovely actor”, and Kay Kay as “fabulous”.

“It is a well-made show. There is a reason why it became the most-watched show. The entire credit goes to Raj & DK,” he added.

Bhuvan, who also starred in Chandu Champion recently, shared that Farzi opened up opportunities for him. “After Farzi, I read about 40 scripts in the last year. They kept coming in,” he said, adding that he has a cameo appearance in Raj & DK’s upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny.

Farzi, an eight-episode series revolves around Shahid’s Sunny, a disillusioned artist dealing with income inequality, and Sethupathi's Michael Vedanayagam, a Special Task Force officer. Farzi marks Shahid’s web series debut.
