Bengali streaming platform Hoichoi has announced its upcoming content slate comprising seven new original web series and fresh seasons of three popular shows spanning multiple genres.

“Pujo may be over but entertainment is still on, my friend. Here's presenting our upcoming content slate – loaded with drama, spiced with thrill, and served with a side of binge-worthy fun! All shows premiering soon, only on #hoichoi,” the streamer wrote on social media alongside a two-minute-18-second long teaser.

From gripping mysteries to modern adaptations of timeless classics, here’s everything you need to know about titles dropping on Hoichoi.

Talmar Romeo Juliet

A modern take on Shakespeare’s iconic play Romeo and Juliet, this adaptation unfolds in the fictional town of Talma, exploring love, deceit, and tragedy from a fresh perspective. Creative director Anirban Bhattacharya will launch two newcomers in the iconic roles of Romeo and Juliet.

Feludar Goyendagiri: Bhuswargo Bhoyonkawr

The iconic trio of Feluda, Topshe and Jatayu return in this gripping murder mystery set in the lush landscapes of Kashmir. Adapted from Satyajit Ray’s novella and directed by Srijit Mukherji, the second instalment of the Feludar Goyendagiri series features Tota Roy Choudhury, Kalpan Mitra and Anirban Chakrabarti as the three musketeers.

Puro Puri Eken

Beloved detective Eken Babu, played by Anirban Chakrabarti, returns in this thrilling adventure set in Puri. As he embarks on a journey to solve a series of mysterious murders, viewers are in for a fun and thrilling ride filled with suspense, food, and Eken's iconic quirks. Directed by Joydeep Mukherjee, this series brings back Suhatro Mukhopadhyay and Somak Ghosh as Bapi and Promotho.

Dainee

Directed by Nirjhar Mitra, Dainee is a story of survival and justice, where superstition meets societal conflicts. Actress Mimi Chakraborty stars in this tale of two estranged sisters caught in a brutal witch-hunt.

Bishohori

Solanki Roy plays Rajnandini, a new bride who embarks on a journey to uncover deep-rooted family secrets during their family’s Nagpanchami festival, in Bishohori – a supernatural mystery directed by Srijit Roy and Souvik Chakraborty.

Rongila Kitab

Mostafizur Noor Imran plays Pradip, a reformed criminal who must navigate a dangerous web of deceit after being falsely implicated in a murder in Rongila Kitab. Directed by Anam Biswas, this series set in Barishal explores the journey of Pradip and his expectant wife (played by Pori Moni) who are forced to flee from one refuge to another.

Nikhoj 2

Following the success of its first season, Nikhoj returns with a more intense and mysterious storyline. Swastika Mukherjee reprises her role as a cop investigating the disappearance of her daughter while Tota Roy Choudhury plays the prime accused in the case. The audience will finally find answers to the mystery in this season.

Nikosh Chhaya

Chiranjeet Chakrabarti reprises his role as Niren Bhaduri in Nikosh Chhaya, the second instalment in the Bhaduri Moshai series directed by Parambrata Chattopadhyay. Bhaduri Moshai must face a dark force threatening to unleash chaos in this season featuring Surangana Bandyopadhyay, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Anindita Bose and Arna Mukhopadhyay.

Kaalratri

Soumitrisha makes her OTT debut with Kaalratri, which follows the harrowing journey of Devi, whose wedding day turns into a nightmare by a twist of fate. Indrasish Ray, Rajdeep Gupta, Rupanjana Mitra, Sairity Banerjee and Anujoy Chattopadhyay round out the ensemble cast of the series, directed and written by Ayan Chakraborti.

Bohemian Ghora

In this series directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, Mosharraf Karim plays a canny truck driver. He keeps his seven wives in seven districts of Bangladesh and skillfully manages seven households. However, his fate soon changes with an unexpected twist.
