Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has shared a video of himself sipping piping hot kahwah and listening to the rabab while enjoying a shikara ride on Srinagar’s Dal Lake.
“Dal Lake Star Mustaq Bhai Ka Kahwah & Adnan bhai ka Rabab,” wrote Diljit sharing the video on X on Tuesday.
The video shows Diljit enjoying a cup of kahwah—a traditional tea made with green tea leaves, spices, nuts, saffron, honey and sugar—as he sits on a shikara (a wooden boat) with a blanket wrapped around his legs. The Don singer also vibes to the soulful sound of the rabab, a stringed instrument, in the video.
Diljit recently addressed a controversy surrounding his use of the spelling ‘Panjab’ instead of ‘Punjab’ at a concert in Chandigarh.
In a strongly-worded statement on X, the 40-year-old musician explained the historical and linguistic context of the spelling. “Panj Aab - meaning Five Rivers. Whether you write it as Panjab or Punjab, it will always remain ਪੰਜਾਬ,” he wrote.
Diljit, who last appeared in the Imtiaz Ali-helmed Netflix biopic Amar Singh Chamkila, will next star in Border 2 alongside Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan. He recently sang the title track of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Pitbull.
The singer is currently in the final leg of his Dil-Luminati India tour, with a performance scheduled in Mumbai on December 19. The tour will conclude on December 29 with a grand finale in Guwahati.
