Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 crossed the Rs 200-crore mark in India on its second Monday in theatres, with a total collection of Rs 204 crore nett so far, industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk reported. Ajay Devgn’s Singham again was slightly ahead with a collection of Rs 211 crore nett so far.
The Anees Bazmee-directed horror comedy film earned more than Rohit Shetty’s cop universe film for the sixth day in a row on Monday. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 raked in Rs 5 crore nett against Singham Again’s Rs 4.25 crore nett.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has crossed the lifetime earnings of its predecessor, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which earned a total of Rs 184.32 crore nett domestically. In Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Kartik Aaryan reprises his fan-favorite role of Rooh Baba, joined by a talented cast including Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Rajpal Yadav, and Sanjay Mishra.
Singham Again has outperformed Ajay Devgn’s previous hit with Rohit Shetty, Golmaal Again, which reported a lifetime collection of Rs 205 crore nett.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, Singham Again stars Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham, a fearless senior police officer who embarks on a cross-border mission to save his wife Avni (Kareena Kapoor Khan). The movie also boasts a star-studded ensemble, including Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff and Jackie Shroff.
With two big releases lined up this week — Suriya-starrer Kanguva and Ridley Scott’s Gladiator 2 — it remains to be seen whether Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again can maintain their momentum at the box office.
