Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 beat Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again in daily collection for the first time on Wednesday, albeit by a thin margin, latest trade figures revealed on Thursday.
Despite Singham Again's consistent performance, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 edged it out with a Rs 10.50 crore nett collection on Wednesday, narrowly surpassing the Rohit Shetty-directed cop universe film, which earned Rs 10.25 crore nett on the day.
The Anees Bazmee-directed horror comedy film earned Rs 35.5 crore nett on Day 1, followed by Rs 70.5 crore nett over the weekend. The film raked in Rs 18 crore nett on Monday and Rs 13 crore nett on Tuesday.
Within just six days, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has crossed the Rs 200-crore milestone worldwide. With a collection of Rs 165.6 crore gross domestically and Rs 43 crore gross from overseas markets, the film’s worldwide earnings now stand at Rs 208.6 crore gross, according to industry data-tracking portal Sacnilk.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has resonated with audiences, thanks to a nostalgic return of Vidya Balan’s iconic character, Manjulika, alongside Kartik Aaryan’s Rooh Baba. The cast also includes Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Rajesh Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Sanjay Mishra, Ashwini Kalsekar and Rajpal Yadav.
Since its Diwali release, Singham Again has led the box office with its high-octane action, amassing Rs 163 crore nett within its first six days in India. It began the box office journey with a collection of Rs 43.5 crore nett on Day 1, followed by Rs 35.75 crore nett over the weekend. The cop universe film earned Rs 18 crore nett on Monday, followed by Rs 14 crore nett on Tuesday.
Globally, Singham Again has crossed the Rs 220-crore mark, becoming the fourth Hindi film of 2024 to achieve the milestone after Fighter, Shaitaan and Stree 2.
Singham Again features Ajay Devgn reprising his role as Bajirao Singham in a cross-border mission to rescue his wife Avni (Kareena Kapoor Khan). The ensemble cast includes Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Tiger Shroff, with a special appearance by Salman Khan as Chulbul Pandey.
