Director Sayan Basu Chowdhury is all set to start the shoot of his next film soon. Starring Ayanna Chatterjee, Partha Datta and Payel Chatterjee, Bhalobasha Not Out is a love story between Anu And Rohan. Anu is a single mother and they meet via an online dating app. The story goes on to show how the three of them bond to create an unlikely family among them. The three of them get stuck together in lockdown and go through a different crisis altogether, as a family.

“When the story was conceived, I immediately knew that I wanted to do this movie and this story required a fresh cast, so after a long process of auditions we zeroed in on the cast. It was a calculated decision to launch two fresh talents with this project,” says Sayan.

The angle between a single mother and her daughter is the part that appealed to Sayan the most . “How her character faces the ups and downs form the crux of the story. The story has been perceived in a manner to break a taboo. We wanted the audience to connect with her and see her struggles which made us create this character,” he adds.
