Beyoncé made a surprise appearance in a video during American channel NBC’s telecast of Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City on Thursday, where a first-look trailer of her Renaissance World Tour concert film was unveiled.
The 42-year-old singer-songwriter shared the video on her Instagram page on Friday. “Hey, it’s Beyoncé, wishing you and your family a very happy Thanksgiving. I’m so honored to share with you the first look at the Renaissance film trailer,” she said at the beginning of the video.
Beyoncé is seen guiding her daughter Rumi on how to handle a camera. “Rumi, can I teach you a trick? You have to turn the camera to the side. Yeah, there we go,” the Single Ladies singer tells her daughter, who was filming her.
The trailer for Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé begins with clips of some of the first concerts from Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour. “I have nothing to prove to anyone at this point,” Beyoncé says in voiceover, as she is seen entering an auditorium with her daughter in a shimmering silver dress and taking the stage.
“We are creating our own world. This is my reward, nobody can take that away from me,” says the singer’s voiceover at the end of the clip.
The short trailer effectively portrays Beyoncé’s artistic vision for the Renaissance World Tour, depicting the tour's progression from inception to execution.
Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, model Naomi Campbell and American rapper Baby Tate commented on Beyoncé’s post. “Rock album coming next? Cuz this look is giving me rockSTAR,” Baby Tate wrote.
The Renaissance World Tour is Beyonce’s ninth concert tour. It took off on May 10 this year in Sweden to support her seventh studio album, Renaissance, and ended on October 1.
