American singer-songwriter Beyonce kicked off her Renaissance World Tour with a dazzling performance at Sweden’s largest stadium, Friends Arena, in Stockholm on May 10.
The ninth concert tour was announced on February 1 — this year in support of her seventh studio album Renaissance. The world tour comes after a seven-year hiatus by the Single Ladies singer.
In Sweden, the setlist spanning 36 songs started off with Dangerously in Love, Flaws and All, and 1+1. Beyonce also sang some of her most famous songs including Cuff It, Run the World (Girls), Break My Soul, and Crazy in Love among others.
Beyonce’s eye-catching outfits styled by Shiona Turini, included a custom-made metallic catsuit by Alexander McQueen, hogged attention. The 41-year-old singer looked stunning in a shimmery gold bodysuit designed by Jonathan Anderson for Loewe’s fall 2022 collection. The ensemble featured black handprints placed across the bedazzled bodysuit.
The singer-songwriter also took to Instagram on Thursday to share a video of her performance in Sweden. “Welcome to the RENAISSANCE,” she wrote alongside the clip.
The Renaissance World tour will see Beyonce performing at more than 40 cities including London, Paris, Barcelona and Toronto before wrapping up the tour on September 21 in New Orleans, USA.
