Beau Is Afraid
The official trailer of surrealist comedy horror film Beau Is Afraid has come out. Helmed by Ari Aster, who previously directed horror classics such as Hereditary and Midsommar, the film stars Academy Award-winner Joaquin Phoenix in the lead role alongside Nathan Lane, Patti LuPone, Amy Ryan, Kylie Rogers, Parker Posey, Stephen McKinley Henderson and Hayley Squires.
In the two-minute-24-second-long trailer, we see a man suffering from paranoia (Phoenix) tries to get home to his abusive mother. It, however, appears that everything is taking place in his head.
Beau Is Afraid will arrive in the cinemas in April.
Gunther’s Millions
The trailer for Netflix’s documentary Gunther’s Millions is out. The documentary follows the real-life story of Gunther VI, a German shepherd who inherited all of his owner’s wealth and became the world’s richest dog.
The synopsis read, “The 400 million dollar dog! For the last three decades, the dog’s riches have been built into a vast empire across two continents, including luxurious mansions, a glamorous entourage, and even a pop music group. But as any good pup can tell you, it’s always worth digging a little deeper.”
Gunther’s Millions will be streaming on Netflix from February 11.
Gandhi Godse - Ek Yudh
PVR Pictures released the official trailer of Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming political drama Gandhi-Godse Ek Yudh on Wednesday. Deepak Antani will play the role of Mahatma Gandhi and Chinmay Mandlekar will portray Nathuram Godse in the movie. The film will also feature Arif Zakariya, Pawan Chopra, Tanisha Santoshi and Anuj Saini in pivotal roles.
The three-minute-10-second-long trailer follows the ideological differences between Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi. Set during 1947-48, The film revolves around a fictional world where Gandhi survives the attack and later meets Godse in prison. The meeting leads to a fiery debate between the two. The music for the film is composed by A.R. Rahman.
Gandhi Godse- Ek Yudh will hit the theatres on January 26.
School Spirits
Paramount+ unveiled the official teaser of its upcoming young adult drama series School Spirit. It is based on the upcoming graphic novel by Nate and Megan Trinrud and Maria Nguyen. The series also features Kristian Flores as Simon Elroy, Spencer MacPherson as Xavier Baxter, Kiara Pichardo as Nicole Herrera, Sarah Yarkin as Rhonda, Nick Pugliese as Charley, Rainbow Wedell as Claire Zolinski and Milo Manheim as Wally Clark.
The 49-second-long-teaser focused on Maddie, a teenager stuck in the afterlife, who looks to solve her disappearance while attending high school in the spirit world.
School Spirit will arrive on Paramount+ on March 9.
