Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s simple love story hits a sombre note in the Bawaal teaser, dropped by the makers on social media on Wednesday, with the lovers separated by a wall inside a place resembling a concentration camp.

Sharing the video on Twitter, Bawaal director Nitesh Tiwari wrote, "Jahaan pyaar hai wahaan Bawaal toh hona hee hai".

The teaser opens with Varun’s Ajay falling in love with Janhvi’s Nisha. We catch glimpses of their love story as they dance and spend time together. However, their relationship takes a turn when Nisha discovers a secret about Ajay. The clip concludes with a scene that shows a place that appears like a concentration camp, where Nisha passionately calls out Ajay's name, desperately trying to reach him on the other side of the wall.
