With only a month to go for Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie’s theatrical release, cast members Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling decided to surprise their enthusiastic fans with a special gift — an all-new promotional video featuring fresh characters and captivating details about the enchanting realm known as BarbieLand.

In the 43-second-long promo, Barbie (Robbie) is shown driving a car and at one point even piloting a speedboat, as she enlightens two girls, who clearly hail from outside, about the workings of BarbieLand. “Essentially, everything that men do in your world, women do in ours,” she says. “What about the Kens?” is the next question posed to her. But Barbie doesn’t have an answer.

One Piece

Netflix recently dropped a 90-second teaser of the upcoming live-action adaptation of the much-loved manga anime One Piece. Inspired by Eiichiro Oda's widely acclaimed manga series, the eight-part series chronicles the thrilling exploits of Monkey D. Luffy as he embarks on a daring pirate escapade across the vast seas, driven by his relentless pursuit of the fabled ‘One Piece’ treasure.

Determined to claim the title of Pirate King, Luffy gathers a skilled crew and acquires a ship to navigate treacherous waters in search of the elusive bounty. Throughout their perilous journey, Luffy's companions confront numerous obstacles, including the unforgiving ocean and formidable adversaries.

The upcoming series, set to drop on Netflix on August 31, has been created by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda and features an ensemble cast led by Inaki Godoy as Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero Gibson as Usopp, Taz Skylar as Sanji and Peter Gadiot as Shanks.

Unknown: The Lost Pyramid

Netflix on Wednesday released an official teaser of an intriguing documentary series titled Unknown: The Lost Pyramid. Directed by Max Salomon, the series is set in the Egyptian desert of Saqqara where renowned archaeologist Dr Zahi Hawass and his rival, Dr Mostafa Waziri, embark on separate quests to uncover ancient treasures. The one-minute-54-second-long trailer shows that Dr Hawass aims to find the long-forgotten pyramid of an Egyptian king, while Dr Waziri searches for an untouched tomb within an ancient necropolis. As time ticks away, both teams compete to make groundbreaking discoveries.

The four-part docuseries showcases thrilling tales of exploration and adventure in uncharted territories. Each episode, released weekly, pushes the limits of knowledge, delves into unexplored landscapes and reveals the secrets of our world through the captivating stories of extraordinary individuals and previously unseen locations, all captured on camera.

Lakadbaggha

ZEE5 has released the trailer of Anshuman Jha-starrer Lakadbaggha ahead of the film’s digital premiere on June 30. Produced by First Ray Films, this is the first instalment in an animal-lover vigilante franchise. Directed by Victor Mukherjee, the movie also features Ridhi Dogra, Milind Soman and Paresh Pahuja.

The two-minute-39-second-long trailer follows Arjun (Anshuman Jha), a martial arts trainer who moonlights as a protector of street dogs in Kolkata. While searching for a lost dog, he stumbles upon a critically endangered species of Indian striped hyena (lakadbaggha). Digging into the matter further, Arjun discovers an illegal animal-smuggling operation taking place in Kolkata. As he strives to reunite with his dog and assist other animals, he finds himself pursued by Akshara (Riddhi Dogra), a crime branch officer assigned to unveil the identity of the hooded vigilante.
