From renting a Barbie house for people to stay in to painting London in pink, team Barbie had a gala day in the UK capital for the Europe premiere of the film ahead of its July 21 worldwide release. Here’s a look at the event attended by Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu and other members of Barbie cast and crew.
Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling — who play Barbie and Ken, respectively, in the film — posed on the pink carpet at the premiere.

Simu Liu, who shot to fame with his portrayal of Shang Chi in Marvel Studios’ Shang-Chi And the Legend of the Ten Rings, also plays Ken in Barbie. Unlike the Barbies, all the Ken(s) in the film share the same name.
Margot and Ryan took a moment to pose for selfies with the fans at the London event.
Greta Gerwig, the director of the film, arrived at the premiere in a pink shimmery gown. She also posed for selfies with the fans.
Dua Lipa, who has sung the track Dance the Night for the movie, wore a colourful bodycon and a high ponytail for the premiere.
The film will show Barbies and Kens exploring the real world. Much like the dolls, the actors imitate the poses and mannerisms of the Mattel products, which have been a staple for children worldwide.
Issa Rae, who plays President Barbie in the film, showed up in a hot pink off-shoulder dress and a pink clutch to match the theme. Her co-star Will Ferrell, who plays a human in the movie, looked dapper in a black suit.
The cast and crew of Barbie posed for a group photo after launching the movie at the event.
The classic London telephone box was painted in hot pink to promote the movie. The Barbie film logo also lit up the stage.
