Barbie director Greta Gerwig tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Noah Baumbach after 12 years of dating in December, reports People magazine.
Gerwig and Baumbach began dating in 2011 after meeting on the sets of the latter’s 2010 romcom Greenberg. The duo collaborated on films like Frances Ha, Mistress America, White Noise and Barbie.
Baumbach’s 2012 movie Frances Ha had also earned Greta a Golden Globe nomination. She played a struggling dancer in the comedy drama.
The couple welcomed their first son in March 2019. Their second son was born in February 2023, they revealed in an interview with Elle UK in July.
Both Gerwig and Baumbach were individually nominated for the Oscars in 2020. While Gerwig earned a nomination in the category of Best Adapted Screenplay for Little Women, the latter was nominated for Best Picture and Best Original Screenplay for his film Marriage Story.
Currently Greta is working with Netflix on two film adaptations of C. S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia. Noah, on the other hand, is working with actors George Clooney and Adam Sandler for his fourth film for Netflix.
