Ballabhpurer Roopkotha
The first trailer of actor-turned-filmmaker Anirban Bhattacharya’s Ballabhpurer Roopkotha is out. Based on legendary thespian Badal Sarkar’s popular play of the same name, the film stars Satyam Bhattacharya, Surangana Bandhopadhyay, Shyamal Chakraborty, Kripabindu Chowdhury, Surajit Sarkar, Sumanta Roy and Debraj Bhattacharya among others.
The two-minute-36-second-long trailer promises to present us with a unique fairytale from Bengal’s glorious literary past. The trailer transports us to the kingdom of Ballabhpur which is now in disarray. Crippled by huge debt, Bhupati, the present King of Ballabhpur dreams of moving to Kolkata after selling his palace once he gets rid of the ghost that haunts it.
Ballabhpurer Roopkotha will hit the cinemas during Kali Puja.
Code Name: Tiranga
The trailer for Parineeti Chopra and Harrdy Sandhu’s upcoming espionage thriller Code Name: Tiranga has been released by T-Series. The film is directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, who previously helmed Netflix’s spy series Bard of Blood.
The two-minute-55-second trailer opens with a shot of a military helicopter flying over the hilly terrains of Afghanistan. It is a story of a spy on an unfaltering and fearless mission for her nation in a race against time where sacrifice is her only choice. We also see a brief shot of Harrdy Sandhu. The film also features Rajit Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharaya, Shishir Sharma and Sharad Kelkar.
Code Name: Tiranga will arrive in cinemas on October 14.
The Playlist
Netflix has dropped the trailer of their upcoming series on the rise of streaming service Spotify. Titled The Playlist, the six-episode limited series will tell the story of Spotify CEO Daniel Ek, played by Edvin Endre of Vikings.
The almost two-minute-long trailer shows a group of passionate young entrepreneurs led by Daniel Ek coming together in what seems to be the impossible task to change the music industry. They set out to create a legal streaming service for music.
The Playlist will arrive on October 13.
Halloween Ends
Universal Pictures has unveiled a new trailer of their upcoming slasher film Halloween Ends. The film concludes the H40 trilogy that began with 2018’s Halloween, which was a direct sequel to the original 1978 film. The film stars Hollywood legends Jamie Lee Curtis, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle and Andi Matichak among others.
The two-minute-eight-second-long trailer shows the final fight between Laurie (Curtis) and Michael (Castle), who is back after laying low for four years. Laurie's granddaughter Allyson Nelson (Andi Matichak), is upset with her for being obsessed with Michael and death.
Halloween Ends will release on October 11.
