Popular American boy band Backstreet Boys will return to India after 13 years as part of their DNA World Tour in May.
‘The Backstreet Boys: DNA World Tour’ will be a two-city tour in India. Their first performance will be at Mumbai’s Jio World Gardens on May 4 and the second at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on May 5.
The boy band took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the entire lineup of their upcoming DNA World Tour, which will include places like Iceland, Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle East. “We weren’t kidding when we called it the #DNAWorldTour! 🌎🧬 We’re taking this baby back on the road to Iceland, Africa, Southeast Asia, & the Middle East - SEE YOU SOON! Tickets at link in bio,” the caption reads.
Known for their songs like Quit Playing Games, As Long As You Love Me, Backstreet is Back and Shape Of My Heart, the five-member band last performed in India back in 2010.
Online ticket booking site BookMyShow has shared a poster of the upcoming tour on Twitter and confirmed that tickets for the performances will only be available for sale on their website. “OMG they’re back again! INDIA, get ready to welcome the one and only Backstreet Boys for two epic shows! #BackstreetBoysIndia #DNAWorldTour @backstreetboys,” their caption reads.
The nine-time Grammy-nominated pop group was formed in 1993 with AJ McLean, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson, along with Nick Carter and Brian Littrell. The group released DNA, its tenth studio album, at the start of 2019. Don't Go Breaking My Heart became their first hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in 10 years and was nominated for the Pop Duo/ Group Performance at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
