Babylon
Paramount Pictures unveiled the official trailer of Oscar-winning filmmaker Damien Chazelle’s upcoming epic period comedy-drama Babylon on Monday late evening. Featuring Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Diego Calva, Jean Smart, Jovan Adepo and Li Jun Li, the film portrays the movie industry’s transition from silent films to talkies as it explores the rise and fall of multiple characters.
The trailer chronicles the early years of Hollywood which were known for hard partying, drug-related chaos and brawls. Pitt plays a Hollywood big shot and talks about ‘high art’ in the film, while Robbie plays an ambitious bombshell actress aiming to make it big in the movies. However, the trailer doesn’t shed light on the plot.
Babylon will hit the theatres on December 23.
Tathastu
Amazon Prime Video has released the teaser of comedian Zakir Khan’s upcoming stand-up comedy special Tathastu. In the teaser, we see the popular comedian in a black sherwani, standing in front of a set that resembles the Taj Mahal.
The trailer begins with a recap of moments from the comedian’s life. Zakir narrates his young years bloated with aspirations of becoming an RJ. The special is a throwback to those moments of his life that still stay with him and inspire him to spread laughter.
Tathastu will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from December 1.
Blurr
The official trailer of Zee5’s upcoming psychological thriller Blurr has been released. Directed by Ajay Bahl, the movie stars Taapsee Pannu and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles. The film is produced by Zee Studios, Outsiders Films and Echelon Productions.
The trailer revolves around the apparent suicide of Gautami (Pannu), as her twin Gayatri (Pannu) refuses to believe that she committed suicide. While she says Gautami was blind, her own eyesight is also fading away as she goes on to look for the truth behind her death. Her husband (Devaiah) also has some dark secrets.
Blurr will arrive on Zee5 on December 9.
The Snow Girl
The official trailer of Netflix’s upcoming Spanish-language mystery thriller series The Show Girl is now out. Based on Javier Castillo 's bestseller La Chica De Nieve, the series stars Milena Smit, Tristán Ulloa and Jose Coronado in lead roles.
From the synopsis, it seems that the show will follow the story of a little girl’s disappearance during a parade in Málaga. It will show how a young newspaper journalist becomes fiercely determined to help the girl’s parents find her.
The Show Girl is arriving on Netflix on January 27, 2023.
