He can sing. He can act. And he can sweep you off your feet with his fashion sense. Babil Khan, the eldest son of late actor Irrfan Khan, is a powerhouse of talent. Set to make his acting debut with the Netflix movie Qala alongside Triptii Dimri, this Gen Z boy is already winning over the internet with the ease and simplicity he brings to the table — a quality his late father was known for.
Babil loves to dress up
Babil knows his fashion, and his charming personality adds to his unique sense of style. Like any other Gen Z, he loves to layer his clothes.
Layering a brown kurta-pyjama with a printed jacket paired with black sneakers, the actor looks dashing in traditional clothes.
His western style is just as interesting. Pastel is an important part of Babil’s wardrobe. His block print jacket and pants paired with a simple green T-shirt brings a fresh new style. The actor also loves rings, and is often seen wearing different types of rings to accessorise his outfits.
A budding musician
Acting isn’t the only skill up his sleeve. Babil has a heartwarming voice and often posts videos of his renditions of songs.
Strumming his way into our hearts, Babil sang Gul by Anuv Jain. His Qala co-star Triptii also marvelled at the cover and commented, ‘Wahh 😍we have to do Alag Aasman together.’
One of his earlier song covers was Fancy Shoes by The Walters. Amping up his style game, Babil wore a cute bucket hat while singing the number.
He can make you laugh
Babil, now in his early 20s, has also inherited his father’s sense of humour. He often takes to Instagram to share funny reels.
His criterion for a girlfriend is someone who will do the ‘hiran jump’ with him. Take a look at his reel to find out what it is.
Irrfan as Maqbool was just as scary for his son Babil, who made a fun reel about his father’s character from the 2003 Vishal Bhardwaj film.
A family man
Babil enjoys family time and often spends his days chilling with his mother Sutapa Sikdar. The Gen Z actor shared a throwback picture of his entire family — with his father Irrfan, mother Sutapa, younger brother Ayaan and himself smiling at the camera. The caption, ‘Mr. Champak Ghasiteram and gang,’ was a reference to Irrfan’s character Champak from the 2020 comedy Angrezi Medium.
In another throwback moment, the actor shared a childhood photo of him and his dad with a fun caption — ‘Maqbool ke bambi mein kisne haath dala?’
