Actress Avneet Kaur met Hollywood star Tom Cruise on the set of Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning recently, she said in a social media post on Monday, sharing photos and a video.
“I’m still pinching myself! I had the incredible opportunity to visit the set of the next #MissionImpossible film, starring the one and only Tom Cruise,” Avneet wrote alongside the pictures on Monday.
Praising Cruise’s commitment to his craft, she added, “Witnessing the filmmaking magic firsthand was awe-inspiring. Tom’s dedication to performing real, practical stunts continues to raise the bar.”
However, Avneet has not yet confirmed if she is a part of the film’s cast. In her note, she mentioned that more details will be revealed ahead of the film’s release on May 23 next year.
The first picture shows Avneet and Cruise posing for the camera. While Cruise sports a casual blue t-shirt and black track pants, Avneet is dressed in a white-and-black outfit. In another picture, Avneet and Cruise are seen engrossed in a conversation. The video captures the two actors shaking hands.
On the work front, Avneet was last seen in the comedy drama Luv Ki Arrange Marriage opposite Sunny Singh. The 23-year-old actress has Rahhat Shah Kazmi’s Love in Vietnam in the pipeline. Also starring Shantanu Maheshwari and Vietnamese actress Kha Ngan, the film marks the first feature collaboration between stakeholders from India and Vietnam.
If Avneet joins Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, she would be the second Indian actor in the franchise, following Anil Kapoor, who appeared in Ghost Protocol (2011).
Actor Varun Dhawan, Shantanu Maheshwari and Nitanshi Goel also reacted to Avneet’s post. “Wow”, wrote Varun, while Nitanishi said that she was very proud of Avneet.
Sharing the photos on her Instagram Stories, Avneet expressed gratitude to Cruise for his warm gestures and humility. "Thank you so much for being you and making me feel so welcome and to remind me to always learn new things and keep growing. I was shook to see you perform all those dangerously difficult stunts all by yourself. You create magic in cinema and in real life too. I'll always remember your kind words and the way you see this world,” Avneet wrote.
“I'm just so much in awe of you, Tom. I've never met someone so humble and down-to-earth in my life. I'm so blessed I got a chance to get to know you in my life. The dedication and hard work I've seen you do is unreal. Thank you for being an inspiration to so many young actors out there like me to truly believe in your passion and never give up. You continue to inspire and create history every day. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your world and letting me experience the magic you create on sets in real life,” she added.
Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning is set to hit theatres on May 23, 2025. The upcoming movie will see Cruise reprise his role as Ethan Hunt as he continues to chase down The Entity, which is hidden in a Russian submarine, while also confronting an enemy from the past, Gabriel (played by Esai Morales).
