The makers of James Cameron’s much-awaited film Avatar: The Way of Water have launched a new trailer of the upcoming fantasy science fiction, which is set for a December 16 release worldwide.
The official Twitter handle of Avatar posted the video earlier this morning. “On December 16, experience the motion picture event of a generation,” the tweet read.
In the new video, viewers are taken on a breathtaking ride deep into the ocean. It showcases the beauty of underwater life in its full glory. Cameron offers us a ringside view of the strikingly beautiful alien world of Pandora. The ocean is the new battleground in this epic drama.
The events of Avatar: The Way of Water are set more than a decade after the first film. The story revolves around Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), his wife Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and their kids who must face new challenges to keep their home safe. The sequel features several new characters, including Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), Lo'ak (Britain Dalton), Tuktirey (Trinity Bliss) and Kiri (Sigourney Weaver in a new role).
Apart from the new trailer, advance bookings for the visual spectacle also opened across the country in premium formats today.
