Avatar: The Way of Water has crossed the lifetime collections of Star Wars: The Force Awakens to emerge as the fourth highest-grossing film of all time. The James Cameron-directed visual epic has so far collected USD 2.075 billion worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. The Force Awakens, which released in theatres in 2015, raked in USD 2.071 billion during its theatrical run.
Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster Avatar is still the top-grossing film of all time with a collection of USD 2.91 billion, followed by Avengers: Endgame (2019) at USD 2.79 billion. Titanic (1997), which is also directed by James Cameron, currently holds the third place with USD 2.19 billion in earnings.
