Actress Asin Thottumkal, famous for essaying the role of Kalpana opposite Aamir Khan in the movie Ghajini (2008), has rubbished the recent rumours about her likely divorce, calling them “baseless”.
The rumours are purely imaginative and unfounded, the actress wrote in an Instagram story, stating that she was currently holidaying with her husband Rahul Sharma.
"In the middle of our summer holiday right now, literally sitting across each other enjoying our breakfast and came across some very imaginative and utterly baseless 'NEWS'. Reminds of the time we were sitting at home together with our families planning our wedding and we heard that we had broken up 😁 Seriously?! Pls do better. (Disappointed to have wasted 5 mins of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!) Have a great day you guys ❤️,” her story read.
Asin’s Instagram Story rubbishing rumours of her divorce
Asin and Rahul tied the knot on January 19, 2016 and welcomed their daughter in 2017. Speculation about her possible divorce ran rife after Asin allegedly removed all her pictures with Rahul from her Instagram account, except for the one that features the late actor Rishi Kapoor at their wedding reception. Her wedding photos are no longer visible on her social media profile.
The most recent post on her Instagram page is from her daughter Arin's fifth birthday party held in October 2022.
