Ariana Grande’s new album Eternal Sunshine will come out on March 8, the singer-songwriter announced on Wednesday.
The Side to Side singer posted the name of her new album on Instagram alongside golden-hued closeup shots of her face and matte red lips, in keeping with the theme of her first single — Yes, and? — from the album. She had already dropped the peppy-sounding single on January 12.
Grande also posted what appear to be alternate covers for the album. The pictures feature the singer in a vintage white top and red tulle gloves.
On December 27, the POV singer had teased the production of Eternal Sunshine through an Instagram post, sharing some polaroids and candid moments from a recording studio. “See you next year ♡,” she had written in the caption.
Eternal Sunshine marks the 30-year-old singer’s seventh studio album following 2020’s Positions. With themes of romantic and sexual intimacy, Positions emerged as one of the best-selling albums of the year, with shipments of over two million units in the US. It also earned the singer a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.
After taking a few years’ break after the release of Positions, Ariana recently re-released her debut album Yours Truly to mark its 10th anniversary. She is also set to star in a movie adaptation of the musical Wicked, which is slated to release on November 27.
