Ariana Grande has teamed up with Mariah Carey for a remix version of her Yes, and? song from her upcoming album Eternal Sunshine, a lyric music video of which was dropped by the singer-songwriter on Friday.

The remix version, dropped on Grande’s official YouTube channel, gives off 1990s pop vibes, combining Grande’s soft and velvety voice with Carey’s high-pitched vocals.

“I cannot believe the words I am typing…Yes, And? Remix feat the one and only, queen of my heart and lifelong inspiration @mariahcarey is out this friday,” the 30-year-old singer-actress wrote on Instagram ahead of the remix song’s release.

“There truly are no words that suffice. thank you from the bottom of my heart for this dream come true and for sprinkling your brilliance and magic on my little song @mariahcarey,” she further said, before adding how she cannot wait for her fans to hear the song. “I love you eternally,” Grande concluded her note.

“Darling angel, I am so effing excited to be joining you on the yes, and? remix!! This is such a magical moment!! Love you ❤️ MC,” came Carey’s reply to the post.

The original song reached the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 after being released on January 12.

Grande and Carey first joined hands in 2020 alongside Jennifer Hudson for a remix version of the track Oh Santa! — a single from Carey’s 2010 album Merry Christmas II You. The trio performed the song live for the first time at Madison Square Garden during the New York leg of Carey’s Merry Christmas One & All! tour.

Eternal Sunshine, slated to release on March 8, marks Grande’s seventh studio album following 2020’s Positions, which earned the singer a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards.

After taking a few years’ break after the release of Positions, Grande recently re-released her debut album Yours Truly to mark its 10th anniversary. She is also set to star in a movie adaptation of the musical Wicked, which is slated to release on November 27.
