Like its previous seasons, Bigg Boss 16 delivered a daily dose of drama and entertainment as the contestants competed against each other for survival over the past four months. Be it brewing romance or ugly fights, this season of the show had all the ingredients to make it a blockbuster ride. As the popular Colors TV show comes to close with the grand finale on Saturday, we take a look at the five most memorable fights from this season.

When Archana tried to strangle Shiv

Archana Gautam has been a no-nonsense contestant who never takes any insult lightly. Her fight with Shiv was one of the most-talked-about altercations on the show this season. Archana had been hiding tissue papers from the common ration for emergency use and when everyone confronted her about it, she exploded. The war of words between her and Shiv turned personal and she tried to strangle the latter when he raised the issue of her electoral loss and proximity to a politician she calls ‘Didi’.

Archana was expelled from the house for her behaviour. However, on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode, Salman revealed that Shiv had planned the whole incident in advance and deliberately tried to provoke Archana. The show host decided to give Archana a second chance and allowed her to make a comeback to the Bigg Boss house.

When Shalin and Stan came to blows over Tina

Tina Datta had suffered an ankle injury during the captaincy task in which she helped Sajid Khan retain his captaincy. Both Shalin and Stan rushed to help her and got into an ugly fight over who can help the girl in distress, forcing other housemates to intervene.

Weeks later, Stan, who was the captain of the house at the time, used his special powers to nominate Tina for eviction, irking Shalin. Stan felt that Tina went back on her words about teaching Shalin a lesson. In turn, Tina accused Stan of backstabbing her and then Shalin joined the argument. A volley of abuses ensued between Stan and Shalin and the two even came to blows.

When Nimrit abused Priyanka

The 16th season of Bigg Boss was unique because the housemates did not receive a common ration for the entire house but it was allotted on the basis of rooms and individual contestants. Food rationing remained a contentious issue throughout the season, often leading to ugly fights in the kitchen.

One such episode was Nimrit and Priyanka’s catfight over the quantity of food provided to them. Priyanka complained that she had received less compared to the ‘Mandali’ gang members. This irked Nimrit, who accused Priyanka of being a hypocrite. She also threatened to slap Priyanka.

When Archana threw a pan full of boiling water on Vikkas

A wild-card contestant on Bigg Boss 16, Vikkas Manaktala had been getting on Archana’s nerves from the moment he stepped into the house. The two would often get into tiffs. Vikkas would also mimic Archana’s shrill voice and antics, which did not sit well with the latter.

Their fight took an ugly turn one day in the kitchen over a simple chore — making tea. Vikkas wanted to make tea on the gas, while Archana was already cooking. She asked him to move his pan. But an angry Vikkas refused and tried to shove her aside. In the heat of the moment, Archana tried to remove his pan from the gas and the boiling water spilled over on Vikkas.

When Tina threatened to slap Shalin

Friends-turned-foe Tina and Shalin had a unique journey on Bigg Boss 16. They started off as friends, but their friendship soon grew into romance. But Salman accused Tina of using Shalin for her game, dealing a massive blow to their relationship, with the Uttaran actress refusing to even see Shalin’s face.

In the Ticket To Finale task, the former lovers sparred like never before and their argument soon turned personal. Tina’s patience reached a breaking point when Shalin questioned her integrity and she threatened to slap him.
