Parambrata Chattopadhyay is all set to bring two veteran actors, Anjan Dutt and Aparna Sen, together on the screen in his upcoming directorial Ei Raat Tomar Amaar. The first look of the actors was shared by the film’s makers on Friday.
“The evergreen duo is returning to the big screen with Hoichoi Studios. Presenting the first look of #hoichoistudios’ second film, Ei Raat Tomar Amaar,” wrote Hoichoi Studios on X.
In the photos, Aparna and Anjan have an aged look, and are shown in an embrace.
Ei Raat Tomar Amaar, named after the timeless song sung by Hemanta Mukhopadhyay in the 1959 film Dweep Jwele Jai, will be the second big-screen offering from Hoichoi Studios. Their maiden production, Shri Swapankumarer Badami Hyenar Kobole, starring Abir Chatterjee and Paran Bandyopadhyay, has released at cinemas today.
Anjan Dutt and Aparna Sen last shared the screen in Srijit Mukherji's National Award-winning period drama Ek Je Chhilo Raja, where they played lawyers pitted against each other in the courtroom.
Parambrata recently ventured into the world of OTT as a director with Parnashavarir Shaap, a supernatural thriller series on Hoichoi that also marked the OTT debut of veteran actor Chiranjeet Chakraborty. The director-actor has already announced the second season of the series, confirming the return of Chiranjeet as occult specialist Bhaduri Moshai.
Parambrata’s previous directorial work, Abhijaan (2022), chronicled the life of the legendary actor, Soumitra Chattopadhyay.
