Actor Salman Khan has dropped a new teaser for musician AP Dhillon’s upcoming project Old Money, also featuring Sanjay Dutt, announcing an August 9 release.

“Old Money out on August 9th,” wrote Salman alongside the video on Instagram on Tuesday.

The video begins with Dhillon being informed that a woman has been found. Neither her name nor any other details about her are revealed. As Dhillon and his companion rush down the stairs, they stumble upon Salman repairing a car. “Where are you going?” Salman asks them. Dhillon replies that he will be back in 30 minutes. Salman then cautions him against repeating the same mistake as last time. The video ends mysteriously with Dhillon laughing ominously as blood trickles down a bruise on his cheek.

Dhillon shared the teaser on his Instagram, highlighting how his achievements over the years — sold-out shows, awards and headlines — had only served to inflate his ego and distract him from his art. Feeling disillusioned, he decided to take his time to create something truly special for his audience, he said.

“I started out as an artist hoping to inspire the next generation and leave a legacy that really impacts our culture and community. Streams, awards, sold-out shows, the headlines...along the way I learned that all of these things do nothing but inflate your ego and take away from what really matters... the music... the art. I got tired of doing things the simple way which is why I have been taking my time to create something truly special for all of you,” wrote the 31-year-old singer-rapper in his caption.

Dhillon expressed his gratitude to Salman and Sanjay for supporting him in his endeavour. “With God’s blessings, I got 2 of the biggest icons our world has ever seen to support me in accomplishing this goal,” he wrote.

“Everything I have been working on is to prove to you that reality can really be greater than your dreams if you focus on what truly matters to you as a human being. I am working as hard as ever and hope you like what is to come,” added Dhillon, urging fans to refrain from calling Old Money his “comeback”.

Salman and Sanjay had previously collaborated in films like Chal Mere Bhai (2000), Saajan (1991), Dus (2005) and Son of Sardaar (2012).

Salman will next appear in A.R. Murugadoss’ upcoming film Sikandar alongside Rashmika Mandanna, Trisha Krishnan and Sonakshi Sinha. Sikandar is scheduled to hit theatres on Eid 2025.

Sanjay, on the other hand, has Prem’s KD - The Devil, Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5, Binnoy K Gandhi’s Ghudchadi and Puri Jagannadh’s Double ISMART in the pipeline. Additionally, the actor has teamed up with Ranveer Singh, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal for a new film helmed by Aditya Dhar.

Known for chartbusters like Summer High, Brown Munde, Scars and Real talk, Dhillon collaborated with Amazon Prime Video in 2022 to promote The Boys Season 3, featuring an exclusive version of his song Insane in the trailer. A documentary about Dhillon's life, titled AP Dhillon: First of a Kind, premiered on Prime Video last year.
