The 2023 BAFTAs, held in Southbank Centre, Kensington on February 20, saw celebrities from across the world show up in stunning gowns and cool tuxedos. Capes and shimmers were the two go-to looks at the star-studded event that saw Anya Taylor Joy, Eddie Redmayne and Michelle Yeoh dazzle on the red carpet.
The Menu actress Anya stunned in a couture Schiaparelli. She wore a velvet, structured bandeau mini-dress with a matching floor-length cape that covered the top of her head. Styled by Luxury Law, Anya went for a coiled Tiffany and Co. necklace to match the bronzed look.
Eddie Redmayne turned heads in a stylish black jumpsuit with satin lapels and wide-legged trousers.
Everything Everywhere All At Once star Michelle Yeoh walked the red carpet in a Dior blush pink suit with bell sleeves and a cape at the back. The actress topped it up with natural pink sapphire bangles and diamond-ruby earrings.
Viola Davis opted for a custom Stella McCartney dress —a shimmery purple bodycon gown with hand-embroidered crystals and an attached cape. The Woman King actress paired her dress with Cartier diamond earrings and went for purple and violet shades of eyeshadow for her makeup look.
Ana de Armas showed up in a blush-pink Louis Vuitton dress with a ruffle-detailed sweetheart neckline. The Blonde actress completed her look with a sleek silver necklace and pink jewellery.
Kate Middleton reworked her 2013 Alexander McQueen white gown and wore it to the BAFTAs. The Princess of Wales added a sash detailing and paired the one-shoulder gown with black gloves and golden Zara earrings.
Best Actor in a Supporting Role winner Barry Keoghan was also seen in a head-to-toe Alexander McQueen look. The Banshees of Insherin actor went for a bright red suit with a white poplin shirt and slim boots.
Lily James, known for the stunning red carpet looks, was seen in a white Tamara Ralph gown with a plunging neckline that was filled in with a spider-web pearl structure.
Jodie Turner Smith went for a gorgeous lavender Gucci dress with shimmer and fur detailing all over it. A Chopard diamond choker and lavender-hued makeup completed the look.
Florence Pugh strutted the red carpet in a Harris Reed original —a blood orange off-shoulder couture gown with frill detailing all over it. The actress paired the stunning gown with a sleek diamond necklace and a hair updo to match the frills.
Ed Westwick walked the BAFTAs red carpet in a Maison Valentino suit with a stylish open lapel and opted for no shirt underneath it.
Emma Thompson graced the red carpet in a cream-white suit with a matching blazer and a sleek stone-encrusted choker. A red lip and side-swept hair completed the look.
