A menacing Rahul Bhat wearing a mask on a moonlit night and Sunny Leone standing in a terror-struck pose complete the foreground of the first poster of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming police noir film Kennedy, set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival later next month.
Sharing the poster on Instagram on Monday, Zee Studios and Good Bad Films wrote, “Aankh, Cannes sab khule rakhna...Kennedy aa raha hai! Here's the official poster of #Kennedy, which is set to premiere at @festivaldecannes later next month!”
Kennedy will be Anurag’s fourth film after Gangs of Wasseypur, Ugly and Raman Raghav 2.0 to be screened at the prestigious festival. The movie will tell the story of an insomniac ex-cop (played by Rahul) who is long thought to be dead.
Known for experimental films covering a diverse range of genres, Anurag has also penned the screenplay of Kennedy. The noir movie will be the director’s first release after Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat, which hit the theatres on February 3.
Anurag has also shared the poster of the film on his Instagram handle. The writer-director has previously shared two stills of the two leads of the film and wrote, “Meet Kennedy and Charlie”
Kennedy is produced by Zee Studios and Ranjan Singh and Kabir Ahuja of Good Bad Films. The music of the film has been scored by Ashish Narula with Aamir Aziz and Boyblanck.
The 76th annual Cannes Film Festival will take place from May 16 to 27.
