Actor Anshuman Jha has completed shooting for his upcoming film Lakadbaggha 2, a sequel to Victor Mukherjee’s 2023 action-thriller, he said in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
“Multiple feelings erupt as I wrap #Lakadbaggha2 as an actor - a shoot schedule that lasted over 6 months(Not ideal) - but lessons from these will remain a lifetime. Grateful to each and every member of the cast & crew that has been on this difficult but worthwhile journey & seen it through,” the 39-year-old actor wrote on Instagram alongside a motion picture of him standing behind a clapperboard from the sets of the film.
“It won't just be a notch above Lakadbaggha1 but we promise you an Indian action spectacle like never before on the BIG screen. See you at the movies in 2025,” he added.
Lakadbaggha follows the story of an animal rights activist-turned-vigilante Arjun Bakshi (Anshuman), who wages war against an illegal animal trade racket in Kolkata.
Helmed by Sanjay Shetty, the upcoming sequel also stars Tony Jaa, Dan Chupong and Sunny Pang. The original film hit theatres across India on January 13.
Anshuman bagged the best actor award from HBO-backed South Asian International Film Festival in 2023 for his portrayal of an animal rights vigilante in Lakadbaggha.
