NBA star Ogugua 'OG' Anunoby almost collided with Hollywood star Anne Hathaway and her five-year-old son sitting courtside during a basketball game at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, making for a ‘bucket-list moment’ for the Oscar-winning actress and her kid.
"Bucket-list moment," Hathaway wrote on Instagram alongside a video of the moment from the New York Knicks vs Chicago Bulls game.
The video shows Hathaway seated behind the scorer's table as the Knicks faced off against the Bulls. Hathaway and her son, Jack, were rooting for the Knicks.
When Knicks forward OG Anunoby tipped a pass out of bounds, he pursued the ball and leapt onto the scorer's table, unwilling to give up on the play. He came close to falling into Hathaway’s lap but managed to stop himself just in time, preventing any fan-player collision.
"I almost got crashed into last night. I always wanted that to happen. Thanks OG," Hathaway says in the video.
Hathaway exchanged vows with Adam Shulman in September 2012. The couple have two young sons — Jonathan, born in 2016, and Jack, who joined the family in 2019.
On the work front, Hathaway has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan's upcoming feature film alongside Zendaya. Universal Pictures has set a release date of July 17, 2026, for the movie.
The Oscar-winning actress is also set to star in the third instalment of The Princess Diaries film series. The film will be directed by Adele Lim. Princess Diaries 3 will see Hathaway reprise her role as Mia Thermopolis after two decades.
