A trailer of the upcoming film was also dropped by Warner Bros., offering a glimpse into the story of two aspiring manga artists, Fujino and Kyomoto. Fujino, initially a confident and well-liked artist at school, encounters the quiet yet exceptionally talented Kyomoto, who admires Fujino’s artistic skill. Despite their contrasting personalities, the two form a deep bond and collaborate on a manga project.

Tragedy strikes when Kyomoto becomes a victim of a mass murder at an art college, leaving Fujino devastated. Her loss forces her to reevaluate their friendship, her artistic journey, and whether her true calling lies beyond creating manga.

“Excited for a tale of art, friendship, and growing up? Here’s the trailer for #LookBack, based on the popular one-shot manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, releasing in cinemas on 25th October in India, in Japanese with English subtitles,” Warner Bros. captioned the trailer.

While Yumi Kawai will voice Fujino, Mizuki Yoshida will lend her voice to Kyomoto. The trailer of the film directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama features the Light Song sung by Haruka Nakamura.

Tatsuki Fujimoto is known for his widely-acclaimed manga Chainsaw Man, which was adapted into an anime series last year. Animated by MAPPA Studio, the anime adaptation holds an IMDb rating of 8.5/10, while on MyAnimeList, it boasts an impressive score of 8.7/10.
