Anime film Look Back based on Chainsaw Man writer Tatsuki Fujimoto's one-shot manga is set to hit Indian theatres soon, Warner Bros India announced on Monday alongside a poster.
“Attention, Anime Fans! The highly anticipated blockbuster anime film ‘Look Back’, is coming to cinemas in India! Stay tuned for more! Don’t miss this beautiful one-shot Manga adaptation,” Warner Bros India wrote on Instagram.
Look Back follows the emotional journey of aspiring manga artists Fujino and Kyomoto. Fujino, initially a confident and popular artist at school, feels threatened by the reserved yet talented Kyomoto. Despite their differences, they form a bond and collaborate on a manga together. However, a tragic event abruptly halts their collaboration, forcing Fujino to reflect on their relationship.
The poster features Kyomoto sitting at his desk and working on a manga. Papers are strewn across the floor, with the garbage can full of discarded manga pages.
While Yumi Kawai will voice Fujino, Mizuki Yoshida will lend his voice to Kyomoto. The trailer of the film directed by Kiyotaka Oshiyama features the main theme Light Song sung by Haruka Nakamura.
Tatsuki Fujimoto is known for his widely-acclaimed manga Chainsaw Man, which was adapted into an anime series last year. Chainsaw Man follows Denji, a destitute young man burdened with crushing debt, who works as a devil-hunter alongside his pet devil Pochita. After being betrayed and killed by the yakuza, Denji merges with Pochita, gaining the power to transform parts of his body into chainsaws. Emerging as the titular Chainsaw Man, Denji joins a government agency to hunt devils led by the mysterious Makima.
