Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Animal collected 283.74 crore at the domestic box office, minting Rs 38.25 crore nett crore nett on its fifth day in theatres, trade reports highlighted on Wednesday.

Starting off with a bang, Animal garnered a staggering Rs 63.8 crore nett at the domestic box office onDecember 1. The Hindi version contributed a formidable Rs 54.75 crore nett to this remarkable opening. The momentum continued into the first Saturday, witnessing a slight uptick as the film raked in Rs 66.27 crore nett. On Day 3, the domestic collection of Animal reached new heights with collections of Rs 71.46 crore nett.

Also featuring Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-helmed actioner passed the Monday test with a collection of Rs 43.96 crore nett.

In terms of five-day collections in India, Animal is now the second-highest grossing Hindi film of 2023, just trailing behind Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan, which had earned a humongous Rs 319 crore nett during the same time.
