Actor Anil Kapoor wished his daughter Sonam Kapoor on her 39th birthday on Sunday in an emotional note, saying she has been excelling in different roles as a mother, wife, sister and daughter.

“Happy Birthday, Sonam! @sonamkapoor My firstborn! You’ve always been so special to me. Watching you grow into the wonderful person you are today has been a true blessing,” the 67-year-old actor wrote on Instagram alongside a series of pictures of the Bollywood actress.

Anil highlighted the Khoobsurat actress’s qualities as a mother, wife and daughter. “Seeing how you handle everything with such grace and strength—whether it’s being an amazing mom to Vayu, a loving wife, or the caring daughter and sister you are—fills me with pride every single day,” he wrote in the note.

The Animal actor said that Sonam’s ability to balance every aspect of her life inspires other people. “You are the woman who can do it all, and you do it with such style and heart,” he added.

“Wishing you a year filled with joy, success, and all the love you deserve. Love Dad,” Anil signed off.

Sonam’s mother Sunita Kapoor also took to Instagram to pen a note for her daughter the special occasion. “Happiest bday to my darling daughter. To my first born, may you always be surrounded by the people you love and may all gods bounties be showered on you and I pray happiness finds you wherever you go,” she wrote, adding, “Love you so much, thank you for all that you do. May you stay as warm , generous, giving, empathetic and kind as you are, love you beta.”

Arjun Kapoor, who is a cousin of Sonam, dropped an unseen picture from their childhood on his Instagram story. “Happy Birthday to the one person who has always been by my side from literally the day I was born with all her and unconditional love,” he wrote.

Last seen in Gia Singh’s 2023 crime thriller Blind, Sonam tied the knot with businessman Anand Ahuja in 2018. They have a baby boy, Vayu, who was born in August 2022.
