Actress Ananya Panday on Thursday offered a glimpse of her different looks as Nella Awasthi in the upcoming Netflix cyber thriller CTRL. Here’s a look.
Ananya’s Nella is a popular vlogger whose world turns upside down when AI takes over her life in the upcoming Vikramaditya Motwane directorial.
Ananya looked gorgeous as she twirled around the set in an Indo-western fusion ensemble, featuring a black jersey top and a green brocade skirt. Heavy vintage jewellery, kohl-rimmed eyes and a bindi perfectly complemented her outfit. CTRL marks the actress's second collaboration with Vihaan Samat after their Prime Video series Call Me Bae.
Ananya shared a selfie in a pink-and-yellow ribbed top, flaunting her side braids. A trailer released by Netflix last month showed things taking a turn for the worse after Nella discovers her boyfriend, Joe Mascarenhas (Vihaan), cheating on her. In a fit of rage, Nella asks the CTRL app to remove Joe from her devices, resulting in his disappearance not only from her photos but also from reality.
Another selfie shows Ananya flaunting her purple highlights on the film’s set. “My character Nella is like any of us. She’s caught up in a world dominated by technology and social media. CTRL explores how we navigate the fine line between our online presence and who we are in real life,” she said to Netflix, talking about her character in CTRL.
Ananya dazzles in a grey halter-neck ensemble in one of her looks from the film. A high ponytail, bold red lips and minimal accessories further enhance her glamour quotient.
Ananya has consistently made headlines with her looks—whether as the budding entrepreneur Ahana Singh in Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s buddy drama Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023) or as the style icon Bella ‘Bae’ Chowdhury in Call Me Bae. In CTRL, she continues to turn heads with her fashion choices, pairing an oversized white shirt with a printed blue headband for a simple yet chic look.
The 25-year-old actress exudes boss-lady vibes in a navy blue co-ord set, with her hair styled into a shoulder-length bob. Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under the banners of Saffron and Andolan Films, CTRL is slated to hit Netflix on October 4.
