Actress Ananya Panday on Tuesday shared fresh behind-the-scenes pictures from the sets of her latest Netflix cyber thriller CTRL, thanking director Vikramaditya Motwane for “one of her biggest learnings”.

The pictures also feature Vikramaditya and other crew members of CTRL.

In her note, Ananya expressed gratitude to the audience for showering her character Nella with love. “Grateful for all the love and appreciation Nella and CTRL are getting reading everything and smiling very wide,” she wrote, thanking the entire cast and crew of CTRL and streaming platform Netflix for the opportunity.

CTRL, which hit Netflix on October 4, is narrated in the screen life format. In other words, cinematographer Pratik Shah and editor Jahaan Noble use storytelling to expose the artificiality that social media has imposed on our personal lives in today’s world.

Nella (Ananya) and Joe (Vihaan Samat) are a young couple whose lives have been laid bare to the world due to their status as social media influencers. What was once a sweet and authentic relationship slowly turns transactional, as they start vlogging every intimate moment for their followers.

Things turn particularly sour after Nella discovers Joe cheating on her. In a fit of rage, Nella asks the CTRL app to remove Joe from her devices, resulting in his disappearance not only from her photos but also from reality.

Produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under the banners of Saffron and Andolan Films, CTRL marks Ananya’s second collaboration with Vihaan after their Prime Video series Call Me Bae.

According to media reports, Ananya will next be seen in the biographical drama Shankara, where she will share screen space with Akshay Kumar.
