Shortly after announcing her pregnancy, social media personality Alanna Panday has shared a video capturing her cousin Ananya Panday, uncle Chunky Panday and other family members’ reaction to the news.
The video, dropped by Alanna on Tuesday on her YouTube channel, kicks off with clips from Alanna's beach photoshoot and then cuts to the heartwarming reactions of her parents, Deanne Panday and Chikki Panday, who are delighted to see the sonographic images of the baby and Alanna’s baby bump. Alanna's parents extend congratulations to her husband Ivor McCray V, while her grandmother eagerly anticipates being a great grandmother.
Alanna’s brother Ahaan reacts humorously, suggesting the baby be named after him, but Alanna and Ivor reveal that they are unaware of the baby's gender yet. Tears of joy flow as Ivor’s parents and Alanna’s cousins are informed of her pregnancy.
The excitement extends to Ananya’s family as her father Chunky Panday asks if Alanna is expecting twins and her mother Bhavna Panday extends her best wishes to the couple. At this point, Deanne arrives wearing a ‘grandmom-to-be' t-shirt and the whole family revels in anticipation of the first grandchild of the Panday family.
Ananya confidently asserts that the baby shall resemble the Pandays, and volunteers to cut the umbilical cord when Alanna gives birth. They talk about meeting one another more frequently and Ananya insists that she prefers the term ‘masi’ over ‘aunty’.
A few days later, Alanna and Ivor meet Ananya’s sister Rysa in LA, giving her the news in person, shows the video. Ivor’s sister Brei comes over bearing gifts for the child. The video ends with Alanna and Ivor informing mutual friends and showing baby clothes to Alanna’s father. In a particularly touching clip, Ivor sits with the clothes on his lap, pretending to cradle the yet-unborn baby.
While Alanna is a social media influencer based in Los Angeles, California, Ivor is a visual artist. The couple tied the knot in March last year in a white wedding, attended by Ananya and her cousin Ahaan.
