Fans have spotted Ananya Panday in the recently released trailer of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani after the actress posted a selfie with director Karan Johar and actor Ranveer Singh on her Instagram story on Thursday.
The 24-year-actress posted the picture to wish Ranveer Singh on his 38th birthday but ended up revealing her surprise cameo in the romantic drama helmed by Karan.
In the photo, Ranveer is seen in a shimmery jacket and Ananya in a red outfit on what appears to be a colourful film set. Some eagle-eyed fans spotted the outfits in the recently released trailer of the film. At the two-minute-29-second mark in the trailer, Ranveer is seen wearing the same shimmery jacket and dancing with someone who looks similar to Ananya.
Alia Bhatt, who plays the role of Rani Chatterjee in the film, had also revealed the possibility of three surprise cameos when hosting an “ask me anything” session on her Instagram account.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which marks Karan’s return to the director’s chair after seven years, centres around a mismatched love story between Ranveer’s Rocky Randhawa and Alia’s Rani Chatterjee.
Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Churni Ganguly and Dharmendra also star in the film slated for a July 28 release.
